RILEY, RANDALL HAROLD (1954 ~ 2022). The following is an obituary for Randall Riley, former Texas House member. The obituary was provided by Weed, Corley, Fish Funeral Home of Austin.

Randall Harold Riley passed away on October 10, 2022 in a tragic car accident.

Randall was born on December 7, 1954 in Plainview, Texas and spent most of his life in and around Austin. He graduated from Pflugerville High School, attended Baylor University, and served as a State Representative in the Texas Legislature from 1985 to 1989 representing Williamson County.

Randall is best known for working throughout Central and South America, his car business, and his real estate transactions. He was fluent in Spanish and had a skill for languages. Although he traveled the world, Randall’s favorite place on earth was at home with his wife Monique and their children Macy Ann, Rhett, and his granddaughter Scottie Ann.

Randall will mostly be remembered as a devoted and loyal friend. He would show up and give you the shirt off his back. He was always there to offer help, no matter who you were. He was a man of deep faith and firm values who “loved really hard”, according to his wife Monique. He was passionate and encouraging, celebrating the milestones in his children’s lives like teaching his son to drive a stick shift or advising his daughter in her real estate career.

Randall’s hobbies include flying airplanes, hunting, and golfing with his friends. He was a lifelong learner who studied new ideas and developed businesses based on his research.

Randall was preceded in death by his father, Harold Eugene Riley. He is survived by his wife of 30 years Monique, daughter Macy Ann Riley, son Rhett Harold Riley, granddaughter Scottie Ann Sligar, brothers Ray Riley and wife Jenny, Rick Riley and wife Leeann, sister Jana Riley and his mother Marjorie Ann Riley and Stepmother Dottie Riley.

Services for Randall will be held on Saturday, October 15th at 3pm at Weed Corley Fish Funeral Home, 5416 Parkcrest Drive, Austin, Texas, with a private burial at the Texas State Cemetery. Please come celebrate in true Randall style with cowboy casual attire.
