| WALLER, JULIET M. DE SHIELDS (1801~1867) Juliet Waller was born in 1801. Her husband, Edwin Waller, was a signer of the Texas Declaration of Independence and Postmaster General for the Republic of Texas. He also laid out the city of Austin and was its first mayor. She died May 13, 1867 and was originally buried in a family cemetery in Waller County. Wallace was reinterred in the State Cemetery in 1928. |
