| HERMAN, J. P. (1826~1910). J.P. Herman was born in Alabama in 1826. During the Civil War he belonged to Company D, 29th Mississippi Infantry. He came to Texas 1880 and lived in Hopkins County. He was a single farmer who suffered from old age when he was admitted to the Confederate Men's Home on September 6, 1909 where he died January 26, 1910. |
