SEARS, MARIANN (1957 ~ ). Mariann Sears was born August 16, 1957 in Akron, Ohio to John and Linda Oswald Neidhart. After graduating from Ohio University in 1979, she married soon-to-be State Senior Justice Ross A. Sears.

She graduated from University of Houston Law Center in 1983 and began practice as an attorney in 1985. She returned to school in 1997 to get her Master's Degree in Library Science from the University of North Texas and started a career as a law librarian.
