| MCCAINE, WILLIAM (1840 ~ 1910). William McCaine was born in Missouri in 1840. During the Civil War he belonged to Company G, 32nd Texas Cavalry.
The 32nd was organized in 1862 and was assigned to Arkansas and Louisiana. It was consolidated with the 15th Texas Cavalry and is sometimes referred to as such. The 32nd fought during the Red River Campaign.
McCaine came to Texas in 1851 and lived in Travis County. He was a widowed farmer who was admitted to the Confederate Men's Home on September 24, 1907 where he died January 26, 1910.
