| HARGROVE, W. D.(1828~1909). W.D. Hargrove was born in Alabama in 1828. During the Civil War he served in Company I, 7th Mississippi Cavalry, McCullough's Brigade. Not much information is available about Hargrove other than his military records and Confederate Men's Home information.
It is known that Hargrove came to Texas in 1870 and lived in Bell County. On his Confederate Men's Home application he stated he was a widowed farmer. He was admitted and readmitted to the Confederate Men's Home several times before his death on April 27, 1909. |
