| ISH, J. K. (1831~1908) J.K. Ish was born in Arkansas in 1831. During the Civil War he belonged to Company B, 34th Arkansas Infantry, Hawthorne's Brigade, Churchill's Division.
Ish came to Texas in 1872 and lived in Bastrop County where he was a member of the Presbyterian Church. He was a farmer before he was admitted to the Confederate Men's Home on October 7, 1902. He died in the home on October 23, 1908.
