COBB, FRANCES LOUISE WARD KNIGHT (1925~) Frances Louise Ward was born January 19, 1925 to Henry William and Iris Beatrice Ward in Montalba, Anderson County, Texas. She graduated from Elkhart High School in 1941 and latter attended the Nixon Clay Business College. In 1945 she married Hubert Parker Knight and had three children: Dusty Knight, Bob L. Knight and Honey Lou Knight Belleman. In 1960, Louise started working with the Bureau of Labor and then transferred to the Texas Industrial Commission, which is now called the Department of Labor. Louses first husband, Hubert Knight, passed away in 1974 and she married Bill B. Cobb in 1976 and moved with him to Corpus Christi, Texas. While there, Louise worked at the Corpus Christi State University as a personnel officer until her retirement in 1982. After Bill retired from the First City Bank of Corpus Christi they moved to Wimberely, Texas and later to the Woodcreek Resort area. Their Louise was the first City Secretary of the town of Woodcreek where she worked from 1985 to 1989. She also served as a Board Member on the Woodcreek Property Owners Association from 1991 to 1993. Now Louise is retired and enjoys playing golf, bridge, and being with her five granddaughters.
