WHITE, BILL M. (1932 ~ 2002). The following is an obituary for Bill White, former state district judge. The obituary was provided by Porter-Loring Mortuary of San Antonio.  

Former Judge Bill M. White was born February 11, 1932 in Abilene, Texas. He received his B.B.A from the University of Texas where he also played football for three years. He later graduated from St. Mary's School of Law and began practicing in 1961.

He started his career as a Prosecutor in San Antonio's Municipal Court and then in the Bexar County District Attorney's Office. After 15 years as the Assistant District Attorney, White was appointed by Governor Briscoe to be the Criminal District Attorney of Bexar County. He was elected to the State Court of Criminal Appeals in 1985 and served 12 years, retiring in 1997.

He was married to Giovanna White for 36 years and had three children: Frances Ann, Adrianna White and John Marvin White.
