Marcia Janette Buchanan, age 90, passed away in Austin, TX, on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the home of her granddaughter, Brie Sturm.
Janette was born on November 28, 1927 in Alice, TX. Over the course of her life she was a mother and grandmother to many. She later moved to Longview and then to New Braunfels where she enjoyed a full life.
Janette is survived by her two sons, Byron and James Buchanan; grandkids; and great grandkids.
From the fun family times with her sons, grandkids, great grandkids, to her days with the Red Hat Ladies and creating friendships lasting a lifetime, Janette Buchanan will remain a legend in our hearts forever.
Graveside services were held 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the Texas State Cemetery, Austin, TX.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Marcia Janette Buchanan may be sent to Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch, an organization she has long supported.
