COATES, ANNE FLEMING (1916~2005) Anne Fleming Coates, wife of Charles Shelton Coates, Sr., was born November 4, 1916, in Beaumont, Texas, and lived in Navasota, Texas, for 26 years. She was a 1938 graduate of the University of Texas, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, where she was a member of the Altar Guild, Daughters of the King, and the Vestry. She served on the board of directors of The Bank of Navasota, NA.
Mrs. Coates passed away on April 7, 2005, and was buried next to her husband on April 11, 2005, at the Texas State Cemetery. She is survived by her three children, sons, Charles and James, both of Houston; and daughter, Catherine, of Navasota; along with 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
