| JAMES, ANDY MAYNOR (1917~1998) Andy Maynor James was born March 10, 1917 in Hill County, Texas to Alva Maynor and Mary Myrtle Helms James. Mr. James attended Hillsboro High School, the University of Texas at Austin and Baylor University. After college, James worked for the Central Intelligence Corps from 1942 to 1945. In 1946, he ran for and won a seat in the Texas House of Representatives. After serving in the 50th and 51st legislative sessions, James left to work for the Texas Real Estate Commission, where he was both Assistant Administrator and Administrator. He also served as President of the National Association of Real Estate License Law Officials before he retired in 1982. James was also a 30-year member and president of the Downtown Exchange. |
