JOHNSON, JAKE (1931 ~ 2006). The following is an obituary for former Texas House of Representatives Member Jake Johnson. The obituary was provided by Weed Corley Fish Funeral Home of Austin.

"Jake Johnson of Round Rock, Texas passed away Friday, September 8, at the age of 75. He was born in Midland, Texas on May 12, 1931. Jake was a proud Texan and a devoted husband, father and an especially proud grandfather.

Jake represented Bexar County in the Texas House of Representatives from 1961 to 1973 and loved the State of Texas.

Jake was preceded in death by his parents, General Harry H. and Rosemarie Johnson, two brothers, Harry and Richard Johnson, and one sister, Rosemary Matthews.

Jake is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Ann, his son George Johnson of Austin, his daughter Sarah McReynolds and her husband James of Georgetown, his daughter Rebecca Wood and her husband Kraig of Round Rock, and his precious grandchildren; Molly McReynolds, Emily Wood, Hannah McReynolds, Lauren Wood, Jake Wood and Caroline McReynolds. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 14, 11:00 a.m. at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home followed by internment at the Texas State Cemetery."
