| PIPKIN, THERESA HARRISON (1910 ~ 2001). Theresa Harrison Pipkin was born in April 5, 1910 in San Augustine, Texas, to Eugene Ford and Caroline Bock Harrison. She was married for 66 years to longtime State Representative Maurice S. Pipkin, who preceded her in death.
Pipkin was a graduate of Texas A & I University and taught in Brownsville, Texas public schools for many years. She also taught and was Director of the Episcopal Day School in Brownsville. Pipkin was an active lay person in the Episcopal Church her entire life.
Since moving to Austin in 1967, she was a member of the State Official Ladies Club, the Sieran Verde Garden Club, St. Anne Guild at The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd and also was a dedicated volunteer leader with Travis State School.
Pipkin passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2001, and was buried next to her husband in the Texas State Cemetery two days later.
