| WISEMAN, KATHLEEN ASHLEY (1904-1999) Kathleen Wiseman was born June 4, 1904, in Decatur, Texas, to John Robert and Minnie Catherine (Bell) Ashley. She spent her formative years in Sanger, Texas, and married Patrick Wiseman in Austin, Texas in May of 1945. A Denton resident since 1978, she graduated from North Texas State University with a degree in Eduction, and from the University of Texas in Austin with a Masters degree. Mr. and Mrs. Wiseman lived in Austin where he was a member of the Texas State Legislature and she taught sixth grade for 25 years. Mrs. Wiseman was chosen as Representative Teacher of the Year for outstanding and distinguished service from 1956 to 1957 and a lifetime member of the Texas State Teachers Association. While in Austin, she was a member of the United Methodist Church. In Denton, Texas she was a member of the First Methodist Church where she was an active member of the Cosmopolitan Class and the United Methodist Women.
