WOODWARD, MAURINE WALLINGFORD (1910~1996) Maurine Wallingford was born November 2, 1910, in Amarillo, Texas, to Robert Irvin Wallingford and Carolyn Margaret (Poyntz) Wallingford. She was known as a "Warrior". She fought for her son and she protected her husband all of his life. She was a mother to many, and was known as "Mother Woodward". She was always proud in telling folks "I'm just and old Amarillo ranch girl." Maurine obtained her Masters in art from the University of Texas. She was active at the University of Texas School of Law and in programs and charities associated with Laguna Gloria Art Museum. She was a talented artist and loved Mexico. Her husband, Marion Kenneth Woodward, was a professor at the University of Texas School of Law for thirty-six years and was a member of the Commission on Uniform State Laws.
