SCHUPP, IRMA CLAUDINE RUSH (1916 ~ 2007). The following is an obituary for Irma Schupp, spouse of Carl Frederick Schupp II, former Assistant Adjutent General of the Texas Army National Guard. Frederick Schupp died in 2003. Irma Schupp's obituary was provided by Weed, Corley, Fish Funeral Home.

"Irma Claudine Rush Schupp, known as 'Lady' to all who loved her, passed away on July 6, 2007, in Kerrville, TX. She was born January 5, 1916, in Houston, TX, along with her identical twin sister, 'Girlie', to James Alexander Rush and Caroline Holleyman Rush. After attending Southern Seminary finishing school, she married Carl F. Schupp, II, a VMI graduate in 1935. Lady was a proud military wife as her husband rose through the ranks to eventually become a General in the US Army and the Texas National Guard. Lady devoted her life to being a supportive wife, loving mother, and devoted sister. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her sister, Ina Pauline Rush Whitehead of Austin, TX; two children, Charles R. Schupp and wife Joyce of Hunt and Bonnie C. Schupp Eubank and husband Rex of Mason; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Brigadier General Carl F. Schupp, II, her son William Frederick (Billy) Schupp, and her brother James Rush.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at the Texas State Cemetery in Austin with the reverend Cliff King officiating.
