FLETCHER, BILLIE JONES (1918 ~ 2010). The following is an obituary for Billie Jones Fletcher, spouse of former Texas Ranger Joseph Sidney Fletcher, the obituary was published in the January 15, 2010 edition of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Billie Jones Fletcher, 91, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010, in Fort Worth.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at Meadowbrook United Methodist Church, 3900 Meadowbrook Drive, Fort Worth. Interment: Monday in Texas State Cemetery in Austin.
She was born in Gadsden, Ala., on Sept. 5, 1918, and graduated from high school in New Orleans, La. She loved to travel and paint and studied art for many years. She attended Meadowbrook United Methodist Church.
Billie met her husband, the late Joe S. Fletcher, while working at the Texas Department of Public Safety and married in 1943. They lived in Austin until moving to Fort Worth in 1962, when Joe Fletcher accepted a position at the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association.
She and her husband raised three children, all of whom survive her.
Survivors: Children, Joe S. Fletcher Jr. (Patricia) of McAllen and their daughters, Joyce Wesley Fletcher (Cody Zilverberg) of Lubbock, Janice Martin Fletcher of New York City and Patricia Marie Fletcher of New York City, Carol Fletcher Stocks (Joseph Stocks) of Purceville, Va., and her sons, Willis Rosenfeld (Sharon) and her great-grandchild, Daniel Luke Rosenfeld, Joseph Rosenfeld and Benjamin Stocks, all living in the Washington, D.C., area, and Jere Fletcher, whom she resided with for many years.
