| RHODES, MARION KATHLEEN ATHEY (1929 ~ 1993). Marion Kathleen Athey Rhodes was born July 8, 1929, in Breckenridge, Texas.
She participated in many civic activities that contributed to the continuing efforts to educate South Texans. She was Chair of the Advisory Council of the South Texas Library System; Secretary for District IV Texas Garden Clubs; Member of Calhoun County Library Board, 1962-1967; Chair of the Calhoun County Museum Board, 1980-1993; and Secretary and Member of Calhoun County Historical Commission, 1980-1993.
Mrs. Rhodes died November 28, 1993 in Victoria, Texas and was buried at the Texas State Cemetery on November 30, 1993.
