| NORVELL, MABEL ELIZABETH KEELEY (1903 ~ 1990). Mabel Elizabeth Keeley Norvell was born in Boulder, Colorado, to Alfred and Susan Lynel Keeley on March 22, 1903.
She was educated in the Boulder schools and the University of Colorado. She married James R. Norvell in 1927, and they made their home in Edinburg, Texas, where Norvell was engaged in the practice of law.
In 1940, James Norvell was appointed Associate Justice of the Fourth Court of Civil Appeals in San Antonio. In 1957, he was elected Associate Justice of the Texas Supreme Court in Austin, where he served until his retirement in 1968.
After her husband's death in 1969, Norvell continued to make her home in Austin. She was a member of the Woman's Auxiliary to the San Antonio Bar Association, Austin State Official Ladies Club, and St. David's Episcopal Church.
Norvell died November 18, 1990, and was buried in the Texas State Cemetery on November 20, 1990.
