| KIRKLIN, OPAL MAE LAYTON (1913 ~ 1989). Opal Mae Layton Kirklin, wife of State Representative, Wiltz "Cotton" Kirklin, was born in McGregor, McLennan County, Texas on January 9, 1913. She attended school in Athens, Texas and was a graduate of Baylor University. She was a former resident of Odessa and lived in Austin since 1963.
Mrs. Kirklin passed away on Thursday, November 9, 1989, and was buried in the Texas State Cemetery three days later.
