| MCDONALD, FELIX (1912 ~ 1987). Felix McDonald was born to Jennie and Robert McDonald in Mexia, Texas on September 13, 1912.
McDonald served four and one-half years in the U.S. Army and served in the European Theatre during World War II.
He graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in 1936 and then moved to Edinburg, near McAllen in the Rio Grande Valley. In 1937, he married Martha Jay Winn. McDonald served as mayor of Edinburg and was city attorney there.
He was elected to the Texas House of Representatives in 1963 and served for twelve years. In 1978, McDonald moved to Austin and Governor Dolph Briscoe appointed him chairman of the Texas Water Commission. He served on the commission until 1983.
McDonald died, in Austin, on August 16, 1987 at 74 years of age.
