| TEMPLIN, GEORGE H. (1888 ~ 1981). Former Clerk of the Supreme Court of Texas George H. Templin was born in Mills, County, Texas on September 3, 1888 to George W. and Julia Ann Keeler Templin.
In 1935, he was appointed to the Travis County Parole Board by Governor James V. Allred. In 1940, Templin was appointed Chairman of the Travis County Parole Board and served in that office until 1945. On November 25, 1942, Templin was appointed Clerk of the Supreme Court of Texas to fill an unexpired term for S.A. Philquist, who died in office. He served in that office until he retired from state government in 1966.
Templin and his wife Laudeye had one daughter, a Marjorie Anderson of Austin. He died November 14, 1981, in Austin, Texas and was buried at the Texas State Cemetery shortly afterward.
