MCGAFFEY, AGNES CLEGHORN MOORE (1865 ~ 1962). Agnes McGaffey was born on September 12, 1865, in Fredricksburg, Gillispie County, Texas. She was born to John B. Cleghorn of Georgia and Sallie Burke of Texas. She first married Elisah Moore who enlisted on July 20, 1861 at Mosey Creek, Tennesssee. After his death, she then married John McGaffey, a confederate soldier, who is buried in Luling, Texas. She had four children. Agnes McGaffey was admitted to the Confederate Women's Home on February 9, 1951. She died on April 19, 1962, and was buried in the Texas State Cemetery two days later.
