COOK, LAURA LAVINA (1865~1955) Confederate widow Laura Lavina Cook was born on September 30, 1865 in Alabama. Her father was a Benjamin A. Love, however her mother's name is unknown. She married Confederate veteran John P. Cook.
Laura had two children named Mrs. Laura B. Pierson and Oscar L. Cook. She entered the Confederate Women's Home on October 5, 1954 from Comanche, Texas. She died on May 25, 1955 at the age of 89 years, 9 months in Austin, Texas.
