HIGHSMITH, ANNA ZENOBIA STALLINGS (1849~1946) Anna Highsmith was born on January 19, 1851 in Russell County, Alabama. She was born to J. T. Stallings of Alabama and Rebecca Lipsey of Georgia. She married J. J. Highsmith in Alabama on October 20, 1873.

J. J. Highsmith entered the service on Appril 30, 1862 at Eufaula, Alabama in Cap. Kolb's Battery, Alabama Light, Artillery and served until the close of the War. Anna had four children named T. W. Highsmith, C. E. Highsmith, A. B. Highsmith, and Mrs. A. L. Ely. She had two granddaughters named Mrs. C. M. Hays and Mrs. C. A. Ham. Anna died on August 17, 1946 at the age of 95 years, 6 months, 25 days.
