ROSBOROUGH, JOHN C. (1847 ~ 1941). Confederate veteran John C. Rosborough was born December 30, 1847, to W. D. and Elizabeth Williams Rosborough in Chester County, South Carolina.

During the Civil War, John Rosborough fought in the 2nd Mo., or the Fort's Scouts Cavalry, of the Mississippi Militia Brigade in McCullough's Division.

Rosborough moved to Texas in 1888. He settled in El Paso where he worked in real estate.

Rosborough was admitted to the Confederate Men's Home at Austin, Texas in 1934. He stayed from March 2, 1934 until October 1, 1934, when he was discharged.

Rosborough was readmitted to the Men's Home five more times before he passed away on May 4, 1941. He was buried at the Texas State Cemetery two days later.
