BRADLEY, R.S. (1840 ~ 1926). Confederate veteran R.S. Bradley was born in 1840 in Tennessee.

Bradley worked on farm until enlisting in the Confederate Army in June of 1863. He joined the Company B of the 16th Tennessee Regiment, Bell's Brigade, Forest's Division. He is listed as a private with the army until June of 1864. The unit fought at Murfreesboro and Perryville.

Following the War, Bradley settled on farm near Pike, Texas.

Bradley was admitted to the Confederate Men' Home in Austin on February 7, 1912 citing crippling rheumatism. He was a resident of the Home until his death January 12, 1926.

He was buried at the Texas State Cemetery the same day.
