ANDRADE, RAMIRO B. (1945 ~ 2019). The following is an obituary for Ramiro Andrade, spouse of former Texas Secretary of State Hope Andrade. The obituary was provided by Porter-Loring Funeral Home of San Antonio.

Ramiro B. Andrade, age 73, passed away Friday, January 11, 2019. He was born April 28, 1945, in San Antonio to Pedro and Socorro Andrade.

He had seven brothers and three sisters.He served with distinction in the U. S. Army in Vietnam and upon his return married Hope Andrade. They recently celebrated their 50th year wedding anniversary.

Ramiro and Hope were an exemplary model of a supportive couple, wonderful heads together of a beautiful family, and builders of successful enterprises.

He will be fondly remembered as a good and gentle man and a pillar of familial support.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Enrique, Adam, Raul and Alfred.

Survivors include his wife, Hope, son; Michael and wife Leti, 3 grandsons; Diego, Ramiro and Alejandro; and brothers, Pete (Nora), Adolph (Esther), and Eddie (Elizabeth) and twin sister; Alma (John) Mendiola, and sisters Eva Andrade and Vangie Cavazos and numerous nephews and nieces.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Porter Loring McCullough.
