Darrell Royal Headstone Installed

Legendary Texas Longhorn Coach Darrell K. Royal's headstone was installed over the weekend. The monument features a replica T-Ring, given to Texas football players who graduated with a degree from the University of Texas. The phrase "Let's Give Him Three" refers to Royal's coaching career. Whenever a player did something exceptional, the coach would say "Let's Give Him Three" and the rest of the team would clap three times. The stone was designed by Edith Royal and constructed by Stasswender Memorials. Royal is buried in the central section of the Cemetery, sometimes referred to as "the T," where State Highway 165 T's off and runs to Comal Street.
