Ed R. Watson, 91, of Deer Park, TX passed away January 30, 2012. Mr. Watson retired from Shell Oil Co. after 38 years; served 16 years as Texas State Representative for District 129. Was a member of First Baptist Church of Deer Park. Mr. Watson was preceded in death by his wife Susan "Jerry" Watson; daughter Deborah Gore, two brothers Ralph & Mitchell Watson; two sisters Mary O'Brian & Myrtle Myzell. He is survived by two sons Dan A. Watson & wife Jane, Donald W. Watson & wife Malinda; daughter Faith Crawford; two sisters Faye Trant, Elsie Dunman; nine grandchildren David W. Moake, Joseph R. Moake, James E. Crawford & wife Estela, Jason S. Crawford & wife Amanda, Jerod A. Crawford, & wife Kristen, Edward R. "Ted" Watson, Robert A. Watson, Gretchen Blanche & husband Cole, Travis W. Watson.; eleven great grandchildren Heather R. Rivas, Matthew T. Moake, Bryson L. Crawford, Kade A. Crawford, Riley Faith Crawford, Mariano A. Escobedo, Vanessa M. Crawford, Trenton J. Crawford, Trevor A. Crawford, McKenna G. Blanche; One Great-Great Grandson Aaron J. Andres; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, February 4 at the Texas State Cemetery, Austin, TX. Memorial Service will be held 10:00 AM Monday, February 6, at First Baptist Church of Deer Park, 438 E. 8th St, Deer Park. Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday at the Church. Family requests memorials be made in Mr. Watson's memory to First Baptist Church Benevolent Committee, 438 E. 8th St. Deer Park, TX 77536.
