Visitation: 9:30 a.m.
Mass of Resurrection: 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Final Resting Place: Texas State Cemetery in Austin, Texas at 3:00 p.m.
Mrs. Truan will be reunited with her beloved husband Senator Carlos F. Truan.

Elvira Munguia Truan passed away on June 2, 2024 at 88 years of life.
Elvira is the eternally loving wife of Senator Carlos F. Truan/ First Hispanic Dean of the Senate in Texas history.
Elvira was born November 15, 1935 to Manuela Munguia Gonzalez and Jesse Munguia. Elvira was raised by her mother, grandmother, and stepfather Eduardo Gonzalez.
Elvira is preceded in death by her beloved husband, her parents and stepfather, sisters and brothers. Mama is survived by her brother Paul Munguia. Mama has been welcomed into Heaven by Daddy, her parents, her grandparents, and her siblings Blanca, Carmela, Hector, Jesse, Lila, and Bobby.
Elvira is survived by her four children Carlos Truan Jr., Veronica Truan Palmer, Rene Truan (Tammy), and Maria Luisa.
Mama is survived by her grandchildren Aaron and Mikaela Palmer, Cameron and Emily Truan, Kirsten Matson Wall (Austin), and her great-grandchildren from Kirsten and Austin: Karley, Kyleigh, Karter Coy, and Kolton.
