ALEXANDER, ELIZABETH AKIN (1894~1989) Elizabeth Akin Alexander, wife of Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Texas, James P. Alexander, was born on September 30, 1894, in McLennan County, Texas

On August 2, 1916, she married James P. Alexander, who was serving as McLennan County Judge. Together, they had a daughter, Nancy, and two grandsons, Jim and Jeff.

After being elected Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Texas, the Alexanders moved to Austin, where the judge passed away on January 1, 1948. Mrs. Alexander, who continued to live in Austin, passed away on October 4, 1989, and was buried next to her husband in the Texas State Cemetery three days later.
