SCOTT, NANCY FRANCES (1858 ~ 1951). Confederate widow Nancy Frances Scott was born on July 24, 1858 in Bosque County, Texas to Henry Walker and Nancy Pearce, both of Ireland.

She married Benjamin F. Scott of Missouri. He served in Missouri Company D, 3rd Battalion, Gen. Price's Brigade and was discharged in 1864. Scott immigrated to Texas in 1870 and served as a Texas Ranger.

The couple had one son who died before adulthood. Nancy entered the Confederate Women's Home in Austin from Kopprel, Texas on July 17, 1939. She died October 7, 1951, and was buried at the Texas State Cemetery the next day.
