LESTER, FANNIE E. VAN LANINGHAM (1863~1940) Fannie E. Van Laningham Lester was born June 15, 1863 in Boon County Missouri to M. A. Van Laningham and Malvina Rice, of Missouri.
Fannie married Archer V. Lester and had a son, A. V. Lester, Jr. In 1879, Fannie and Archer moved to Texas and settled in the small community of Kyle. While there, Archer worked as a farmer. On September 2, 1932, Fannie and Archer were admitted to the Confederate Men‘s Home in Austin, Texas due to Archer‘s service in the Confederate Army. Both lived in the Home until their deaths. Fannie died on March 2, 1940, and was buried in the Texas State Cemetery the next day.
