DOLLINS, SUSIE (1846 ~ 1937). Confederate widow Susie Dollins was born on September 27, 1846 in Missouri. She was born to John W. Williams and Susan Venable both of Virginia. She married a man named Tom Carter earlier in her life, but eventually married Confederate veteran R. C. Dollins in 1895.

R. C. Dollins entered the service from Missouri in Company K, 3rd Missouri Infantry Regiment in Gen. Sterling Price's Army and was discharged at Ozark, Arkansas in June of 1863. Susie Dollins had no children but she had a nephew named Ashbell Cook.

She entered the Confederate Woman's Home in Austin from the Men's Confederate Home on December 17, 1926 shortly before her husband's death 10 days later. She was discharged on July 16, 1932 but reentered the Home on February 21, 1934 from San Antonio. She died on March 9, 1937 at age 91 years, 5 months, and 11 days.
