| HARRIS, J.B.(1845~1924). Born in Tennessee in 1845 to James Harris and Louisa Buchanan Harris, J.B. Harris served in the Confederate Army in Company A, 32nd Texas Calvary Regiment, Buckners Brigade of the Trans-Mississippi Army. His family moved to Texas in 1851.
After the Civil War, J.B. Harris settled in Travis County and earned his living as a farmer until his admittance to the Confederate Men's Home in Austin, Texas on February 22, 1922. He was discharged at his own request on January 11, 1924 and died the same morning.
