Texas Navy Day at the State Cemetery (09/21/2016)

The Texas Navy Association will dedicate a memorial marker for Robert Potter on Wednesday, September 21st at 10 a.m. at the Texas State Cemetery.

Robert Potter was the Secretary of the Navy, Ad Interim and a signer of the Texas Declaration of Independence. Potter's marker is located on Republic Hill in the historic section of the Cemetery. Former Land Commissioner and President of the Texas Navy Association President Jerry Patterson is the scheduled speaker.

The ceremony is open to the public and free of charge. Parking is available very close to the site on Navasota Street with access through a pedestrian gate near Seventh Street.
