September 11th Anniversary Sunday (09/11/2016)

The Texas State Cemetery has no formal observation of the 15th Anniversary of the September 11, 2001 tragedy planned. Instead, visitors are encouraged to visit the Texas 9/11 monument on the Cemetery grounds and reflect on what happened fifteen years ago Sunday. It is a powerful reminder of what happened to our country on that terrible day. Two pieces of the World Trade Center are enshrined in the monument. It is a lasting display of what so many people experienced and suffered through. Our state and country remembers.
